Last May I had the opportunity to visit my cousin, Dalia, in Queretaro, Mexico for a few days to scope out the land and see what keeps calling her back. Dalia has made Pinal de Amoles her residence along with a few other dear friends of mine. We arrived in the wee hours of the morning and waited for a brother to pick us up and take us to our little cabin. I fell in love with Pinal de Amoles through Dalia's pictures and I could not wait til the morning.

This is not my first time visiting Mexico but it is my first time in Queretaro. Not to mention the last time I came to this beautiful country was over a decade ago. Needless to say, I felt a sense of comfort walking the streets of Pinal in that I had missed a lot of what I was beginning to experience all over again.
